Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Neo Soul Guitar, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current account information.
• Notify us immediately at hello@neosoulguitar.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Not share your account with any other person or allow any third party to access your account.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these responsibilities.

3. Subscription & Billing

• Free trial. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your selected plan will begin billing automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Recurring charges. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
• Payment processing. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.
• Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on Neo Soul Guitar — including but not limited to practice drills, harmony lessons, written analyses, fretboard diagrams, audio examples, and the software itself — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use the content for your own private, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, or create derivative works from any content on the platform without our prior written permission. Embedded third-party video content (e.g., YouTube) remains subject to the respective platform's terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract content from the platform in bulk.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access controls, paywalls, or subscription checks.
• Transmit malware, spam, or any harmful code through the service.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scrapers) to access the service without our express written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of this section without prior notice.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Sweden, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the service.
